To Speak For Those Who Can't

The Fund for Animals was founded in 1967 by prominent author and animal advocate Cleveland Amory. Dedicated "to speak for those who can't," The Fund is now, and always has been, one of the largest and most active organizations dedicated to the cause of animals throughout the world.

As you will read in these pages, The Fund has spearheaded some of the most historic and significant events in the recent history of the animal protection movement. And because The Fund is a national leader, it is also a national target for those who would exploit animals.

To give voice to the animals in their struggles to survive, The Fund pursues a varied agenda that includes legal action, legislative initiatives, public education, animal rescue, and many programs that directly aid animals in need. Most prominent among these are the world's largest low-cost spay/neuter clinic in New York City, the nation's first mobile spay/neuter clinic on wheels in Houston, and world-famous animal sanctuaries in Texas, California, and South Carolina. In addition, The Fund has 20 regional field offices working on grassroots issues across the United States.

The Fund for Animals, at any given time, maintains numerous campaigns to end cruelty to animals in all its varied forms. Our commitment to this cause remains uncompromised as we work confidently towards the day when all animals may live free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
